Rozalén and Beatriz add their support for quality education for all people
244 million children and adolescents are unable to return to school, largely due to:
- The consequences of the health emergency caused by COVID-19 are still being felt.
- Conflicts and wars forcing millions of children into displacement
- Situations of exclusion, poverty and disability, which cause marginalization and isolation.
People with disabilities represent 15% of the world’s population, yet they are among the most marginalized, with 1 in 3 children with disabilities of primary school age not attending school.
In addition, children with disabilities are 4 times more likely to be victims of any type of violence and are almost 3 times more likely to be victims of sexual violence, with girls at greater risk.
Entreculturas works in countries such as Bolivia, Ecuador, Peru, Chad or Kenya, to guarantee their right to education through an inclusive system at all levels, without discrimination and under equal conditions.
In the face of this global education crisis, Rozalén and Beatriz raise their voice for inclusive and quality education for all people and show their support for our back to school campaign.
