The importance of evaluating what we do
Evaluating is fundamental for learning, improvement and transparency. Evaluating helps us to be accountable to society and, fundamentally, leads us to learn from our work, our mistakes and our successes. The people we work with deserve quality projects.
For this reason, at Entreculturas we carry out evaluations of our actions in education for citizenship, development cooperation and volunteering. During the last decade we have evaluated about 66% of the activity we carry out through projects or programs.
Most of these evaluations are elaborated by external personnel, with the objective of guaranteeing methodological and technical validity, together with the personnel involved in the intervention.
As part of the International Federation of Fe y Alegría, Entreculturas leads one of the networks that are part of the Federation: “Evaluation and Impact Measurement”. This initiative promotes research and evaluation of our pedagogical and social promotion practice and the culture of evaluation. More information is available at
