In a modern world in constant evolution, where technology and screens dominate much of daily life, an educational approach is emerging that seeks to reconnect people with nature and revitalize the learning process. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The objective of this project is to improve the quality of education at the Sagrado Coraz\u00f3n de Jes\u00fas school<\/strong> in the province of Esmeraldas, through the introduction of a theoretical and practical agroecological approach implemented from the school’s forest-school.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

School Forests, also known as “schools in nature” or “outdoor classrooms”, are educational environments that use wooded areas, natural parks and natural spaces as extensions of traditional classrooms, where nature itself becomes the teacher, inspiring a holistic education that promotes the cognitive, emotional and social development of students.<\/strong> These spaces allow students to explore biodiversity, the life cycle and natural systems in their real context, with the help of the community. In addition, they encourage experiential learning, where students interact directly with the environment, providing them with unique opportunities to develop critical skills such as problem solving, decision making and collaboration.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With this project, 179 students of the Sacred Heart of Jesus School are expected to improve their motivation, integration and commitment to school<\/strong> thanks to a new pedagogical methodology implemented in the school forest, where they improve their ability to understand and appreciate nature.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n
