The objective of this project is to improve the quality of education at the Sagrado Corazón de Jesús school in the province of Esmeraldas, through the introduction of a theoretical and practical agroecological approach implemented from the school’s forest-school. School Forests, also known as “schools in nature” or “outdoor classrooms”, are educational environments that use wooded areas, natural parks and natural spaces as extensions of traditional classrooms, where nature itself becomes the teacher, inspiring a holistic education that promotes the cognitive, emotional and social development of students.
