Global Campaign for Education “The rich countries break their engagements”
Louis Michel, Gordon Brown and Paul Wolfowitz convened a high-level conference in Brussels on May 2, in order to accelerate progress towards the education Millennium Development Goal (MDG) that all children complete primary education by 2015.
The Global Campaign for Education attended the event in order to ensure Education for All. The Global Campaign for Education (GCE) estimates aid for primary education should reach 16.000 million dollars over the next two years. Currently this aid only reaches 2.700 million dollars.
