Galicia gets close to Africa

Entreculturas opened these conferences with Fernando de Margelina, World Bank consultant who explained the work carried out by the World Bank in Africa. "The worst difficulty lies in the legal framework of the transactions since there are still many countries with legal deficiencies that do not enable reliable work" said Mr. Margelina. Valeria Mendez de Vigo, responsible for Entreculturas Department of Studies and Advocacy focused her presentation on the World Social Forum held in Nairobi. "The forum had its positive and negative aspects, but I would point out the live presence of religions and the vibrant women participation" she said.


During the second day, Fátima Miralles, PHD in Psychology and teacher at the University of Comillas explained the reinsertion processes of child soldiers in Sierra Leona, stressing their reintegration difficulties in their communities.

He conferences ended with Xavier Zabalo SJ, a missionary in Congo for over 40 years who spoke about the hope for this continent. "In spite of the fatalist international speech, Africa has a solution" se said.
