Entreculturas participates in "Campus Party" to talk about the Education Info-Technology Programme – P3

During four days, 800 youth from 27 countries of the European Union met at the Caja Mágica of Madrid in order to participate in conferences, workshops and presentations regarding projects focused on three areas: science, digital creativity and innovation.

In this framework, Entreculturas, as one of the ten finalists of the contest "Technological Innovation to Fight Poverty", attended the Campus Party to present the Education Technology Programme that it promotes together with the Fe y Alegría International Federation and the financial, personal and material support of Accenture.

Javier Urrecha, Entreculturas coordinator for the project, and Ana Compés, from Accenture Foundation, explained that the initiative´s objective is to improve education in Latin America through the new Information Technologies. For this purpose, it has opened 84 technological classrooms in 15 countries, it has set up a school portal (www.mundoescolar.org ) to encourage the exchange of experiences, teaching resources, projects, questions and answers and the design of an e-learning platform and several international teacher training courses. This project also develops children´s formation plans(56.000), their teachers´ (2.000) and those of the communities surrounding the schools (10.000 people aprox.).
