This seminar has worked on the analysis of the Latin American education experiences of Fe y Alegria which are considered promising because they have already shown an important impact in the access to education, in equity and in the improvement of quality education.

Experiences were shown around the following subjects: School Management, Pedagogical Management, Teacher Training and Financing Education.

Presentations and discussions were focused and was has worked in the Latin American context and also on the identification of specific areas of work and collaboration. In addition, participants were offered the possibility to visit some of Fe y Alegria´s progammes in Lima and discuss ways to establish communication nets between colleagues of participating countries.

The seminar is part of an initiative to analyze and share successful Latin American experiences and also to strengthen collaboration among countries to achieve the millennium goals in Education for all.. " This seminar invites us to think on how to improve as public education systems. The motivation of Fe y Alegría is the quality education for those who have less. This motivation is achieved day by day and today we are here to share it and discuss together how to improve education for those who need it most" said Luis Arancibia, Entreculturas Deputy Director and Coordinator for the Federation´s Public Action Programme.

 

 

In addition to representatives of organization entities, also attending were members of the Ministry of Education from several Latin American countries , of the Inter American Development Bank, of the International Labour Organization and local institutions such as the Grupo de Análisis del Desarrollo (GRADE).
