As conclusions, the P8 has decided to carry out, on one hand, the exchange of more abilities and experiences in public action through workshops, materials, accompaniment and the use of new technologies; and on the other the public political advocacy to propose improvement measures for education. In this context, it considers necessary to focus on a quality education for all and debate on education for jobs and financing education.

Silvio Gutiérrez, deputy director for Fe y Alegría Nicaragua, gave a conference at Entreculturas on their work in the country. "The time has come to stop looking at ourselves and make the right to education effective." he said. "Advocacy has a lot to do with our identity, with this process of accompaniment and service that we offer" he added. He explained that one of the main achievements of Fe y Alegría Nicaragua has been the leveling of salary conditions for all teachers. They are also working on school abandon with young monitors who accompany the students."In Nicaragua, there are almost 500.000 children in school age and there is not enough infrastructure for all of them to attend school and remain there" said Silvio Gutiérrez.

Javier Barrios, member of the P8 commission and Director of IFA radios in Venezuela, assured that one of the reasons why students drop out of school was because on many occasions the teacher arrived late or did not show up. Therefore they decided to create an education radio for children in rural areas. They soon found that not only the children listened but that it was very successful among adults, especially women. Today there are more than 19.000 participants and 20 radios that have become the third most popular in the country.
