Haitian children in Dominican Republic, the fight for an identity
Thousands of Haitian children in Dominican Republic want to have a name, a legal recognition of their existence that will protect them and enable them to have the basic rights such as education in the country in which they have grown up. We want to denounce this situation and help improve it. Read+

 

Child soldiers, working towards hope
Last July, Entreculturas together with the programme "the reporters" of Canal Sur, travelled to the Heart of Africa to see the work we carry out in support of the re insertion of children in the Democratic Republic of Congo. "Child soldiers: trained to shoot" brings us close to the drama of these children who, thanks to the work of the Jesuit Refugee Service, can see a future for themselves in which their working tool may not be a weapon. Haitian Christmas in Dominican Republic
Olga Regueira, Entreculturas international volunteer in Haiti, brings us close to the Christmas of the Haitian population living in Dominican Republic with an interview with Islandia, although as she says, Islandia does not exist as such. "Islandia represents each one of the people I have interviewed these days, their answers; the feeling of LOVE and fight that I have received from the families that I have visited, from the homes I have been welcomed into. Families made up of people with no legal documents, no country, abused, cheated and excluded, who teach us what life is all about." Read+

Christmas Cards 2007

Entreculturas calendars 2007- 2008
A total of 7.200 calendars have been distributed in schools, youth networks, delegations and other education centres that have opened their doors to Entreculturas. We have also sent our annual calendars to donors and other institutions with our solidarity message and our urgency to achieve a fairer world. If you are interested in having one, contact Belén Nadal at b.nadal@entreculturas.org

Entreculturas and Unipapel offer Solidarity notebooks
Thanks to the collaboration of the La Rioja Entreculturas Delegation and Unipapel, this year we offer together with our cards and calendars, solidarity notebooks as gifts for our friends and also for our personal use. Each notebook costs 3 Euros and can be bought at our Head Office, calling 34 91 590 26 72. The money collected will be allocated for supporting education for displaced and refugee children in Sub Saharan Africa.
