Accompanying forcibly displaced people in the city means visiting them at home, getting to know and attending to their multiple unmet needs, including help o get documentation, food, access to healthcare, education, and cash to pay the rent. It means creating safe opportunities for them to meet, for children and teenagers to play and study together, instead of spending all the time in their small, often overcrowded homes. They examined the situation of those who live in abject poverty, victims of exclusion and with limited social support by the State. The forced displaced migrants to whom the residence permit to remain in Europe has been denied, do not normally return to their country, since for some of them this would imply a serious danger to their lives.
